Program Overview
Are you looking to upskill and start strong in your next chapter? Do you want to develop and update your resumé and interview skills before an entry-level job interview, but do not know where to start?
We have developed the Manufacturing Technician Level 1 (MT-1) Training, Certification and Job Placement program. This program trains people with no manufacturing experience, helps them obtain the Manufacturing Skills Institute (MSI) MT-1 certification and places them in a 3 or 6-month OJT roles or place them directly into entry level roles in construction & manufacturing.
Prerequisites & Requirements
- Must be 18 years old or older at the time of application submission
- Must live in the area or have reliable transportation to commute
- Must have a valid United States government ID (federal, state, or local)
- Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED
- Must be motivated and excited to look for a new career in the manufacturing industry, 3-weeks after you successfully completed our pre-employment training
Learning Objectives
Obtain industry-recognized Manufacturing Skills Institute (MSI) MT-1 certification that validates your foundational manufacturing skills and knowledge.
Develop essential manufacturing skills including safety protocols, quality control, equipment operation, and production processes required for entry-level positions.
Build professional workplace skills, resume development, and interview preparation specifically for manufacturing and construction industries with direct job placement support.

We're Here to Support You
When a participant lands a position with an area manufacturing employer, they will receive support from our Learner and Employer Success Coaches (with their supervisor) from the start of their employment, all the way toward and after their probationary period–usually about 3 months on the job.
They will also provide guidance through their current job and suggest potential management opportunities throughout their career.
